MARIPOSARIO:The Botanical Garden of Quindío was founded in 1979 by Alberto Gómez Mejía, as a center for scientific research, ecological conservation and environmental education, following the suggestion made by the famous botanist Jesús M. Idrobo. Participated members of the Organization Oikos and the Gardening Club of Armenia, and professors of the University of Quindío. The Garden was opened to the public on December 16, 2000 and since then has been the leader of regional Ecotourism 

MUSEO  QUIMBAYAThis Center was designed by the BANK OF THE REPUBLIC to develop its Cultural Area in the city of Armenia. It was inaugurated on July 25, 1986. In this construction that recreates the space to preserve and spread the pre-Columbian Quimbaya legacy, the architectural language synthesizes the passage from one culture to another, and offers a place of recreation and spiritual solace for users and visitors.
